Enyimba midfielder Dare Ojo is optimistic that the team can still successfully defend their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title despite playing a 1-1 draw with Enugu Rangers in Sunday’s Oriental derby.
The Abia giants were forced to share points with league leaders Rangers who railled from behind to settle for a draw at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
However, despite still trailing their rivals with seven points with eight matches to go before the end of the season, the former Kwara United player has not given up on the title race.
“There s still a lot to fight for despite our failure to beat Rangers at home on Sunday,” Ojo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“To be honest, we are disappointed with the result as a win would have put us in a better position in the table.
“But we have to put the result behind us and continue to fight till the end of the season.”
