Kelechi Osunwa Extends Sudanese Scoring Record

Nigerian hitman Kelechi Osunwa continued to cement his name in Sudanese football folklore last weekend when he grabbed a hattrick to take his goals tally to 27 goals in a season, extending his record of the highest ever goals tally by a player in the hstory of Sudanese football.

Kelechi, in his 2nd stint in Sudan after a very prolific first stint in which he scored 184 goals in 224 games for Al-Hilal and Al-Merreikh, has been like a man on fire for his new club Al-Ahly Shendi.

He grabbed his record extending goals while helping himself to his third hat trick of the season in a 4-0 away win against Al Amir in the Sudani Premier League.

Prolific Kelechi’s goals have helped his modest Sudanese club Al-Ahly Shendi to fifth on the table with 49 points, 14 points behind table toppers Al Hilal Omdurman with 25 rounds of games.
