Former Enyimba International of Aba striker Ifeanyi Edeh has resurfaced in the Albanian capital of Tirana, where he has signed for Albanian Premier league side KF Tirana.
Edeh, who was a prominent feature in the local league when he played for Enyimba and later Warri Wolves, and who won many caps for the Super Eagles and was a regular member of the CHAN 2014 bronze winning Nigeria Home Based Super Eagles, returned to Nigeria after a brief stint in Qatar with Al-Markhiya in 2015.
Thereafter he was rumoured to have joined FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the Glo Nigerian Premier League but only trained with them to keep fit.
Papilonews.com gathers that there was serious interest from a top Moroccan club for his services, but alas by then he had signed for the Albanian club and did not want to do a U-turn and so he dumped the Moroccan deal.
“Yes, I had serious interest from Morocco but it came at a time I had already signed in Albania so I told them it was too late. I chose to go to Albania so as to play myself back into the spotlight. From what I have seen, the Albanian league is very competitive and also attracts many scouts from across Europe so I am sure that I will do well here and move on to greater things.”
