Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has channeled the ‘spirit’ of his uncle Jay-Jay Okocha courtesy of an audacious rainbow flick while playing for Nigeria.
Iwobi has established himself at club level, having made eight Premier League starts for Arsene Wenger’s side this season, and is also hitting the right notes for the Super Eagles.
The 20-year-old has opted to represent Nigeria rather than England due to his African heritage and helped his nation secure a valuable 3-1 victory over Algeria on Saturday night.
Okocha famously produced a similar trick at the expense of ex-Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour during his playing career.
The former Bolton Wanderers man is fondly remembered for his trickery on the ball and Iwobi appears to have picked up a thing or two from his relative.
