Nigerian youngster, Emeka Oparaugo is bent on leaving a mark on the Argentine football terrain as he hopes to break into the main team of Telleres de Cordoba and help the team excel in the Argentine football elite division.
The Owerri-born quick winger is currently pressing to establish himself in South America and justify his transfer to the city of Cordoba. Having played about six games for the youth team of Telleres de Cordoba and recorded 3 goals, Oparaugo’s performance has earned him more playing time in the squad.
A quick-witted forward who has played in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPLF) with now relegated Heartland Football Club, Owerri Emeka stressed that he is really adjusting to life in Argentina, a country known for dishing out talented footballers. For him, life in Argentina is not far from what is obtainable in Nigeria, especially the championship, which he says is as competitive as where he is coming from – the NPFL.
“Yes this is Argentina but football is universal and so having played in the NPFL, I am well equipped to do well here in Argentina,” he told www.papilonews.com
He is potentially looking to strike deal in Europe in the coming season which he believes will open doors for a loftier football career.
