Nigerian forward, Daniel Chukwu has lifted the Lotto Ekstraklasa championship after his side, Legia Warsaw were crowned Champions on the last day of the 2016/17 Polish club football season.
Legia Warszawa – who drew with UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid this season – won the domestic title for a record 12th time.
Chukwu joined the Polish champions in January quitting his stint with Chinese League One side, Shanghai Shenxin.
This feat makes it the second European soil where the former Bussdor front man is embracing glory. He has previously played for Norwegian clubs Lyn Oslo and Molde where he won three Norwegian championship winners’ medals and two cups with Molde.
Legia is one of the most successful Polish football clubs in history winning twelve Ekstraklasa Champions titles, a record 18 Polish Cup trophies and four Polish Super Cup matches. The club’s home venue is the Polish Army Stadium and they will feature in next years EUFA Champions League.
