Nigeria international Kelechi Nwakali has opened his goal account in his first game in the colours of VVV Venlo as he helped the Eredivise side secure an away draw against FC Groningen.
The Arsenal loanee came in as a substitute for Torino Hunt in the 75th minute and helped his side to pick an important away draw by equalising in added time, 91+1 minute of the encounter.
FC Groningen had taken the lead in the 15th minuted of the game through Moroccan attacker Mimoun Mahi.
The build up to the superb equaliser saw Nwakali put a high pass through to his teammate, Lennart Thy and ran into space to head the ball home over the on-rushing goalkeeper.
VVV Venlo now occupies the 8th position in the 18-team championship after gaining 7 points from 4 games.
