In form Hapoel Katamon striker George Akpabio has vowed to score more goals to shoot his Israeli Liga Leumit club to the Israeli top flight next season.
The former Chippa United and Yeni Malatayspor striker is his club’s top scorer so far this season, despite being played from an unfamiliar left midfield slot. The forward has nicked three goals in all competitions since the season started and is raring to score more for the team he joined in January.
“I am well settled in Katamon. The fans are marvellous and the coaches and management have played a big role in making me feel at home. When I step on the pitch I feel its a duty to give my all to pay them back for their love and support.”
“By the grace of God Almighty, I will score more goals for Katamon. We have a strong squad and I am confident we can force our way back to the top flight. My duty is to score goals, no matter what and no matter against whom I play or whatever attacking position I play. I am a product of grace, and grace will always propel me to greater goals. By His special grace, Katamon will surprise other teams and gain promotion at the end of this season,” he concluded.
